In a Trance state of mind...

Trance music… its my all time favourite and unfortunately not played in Dubai… I did attend some so called (Israeli) trance parties in dubai but sadly they were just playing house music… they don’t know what trance is all about. TRANCE MUSIC is a style of electronic dance music or instrumental music in which vocals are only sometimes used… these vocal phrases are usually short and repeated throughout the track with ‘break/s’ in between. (the song when in high notes suddenly stops/pauses for a few seconds before starting off again…). Trance gets its name from the beats/rhythm of the music that supposedly takes the listener in a trance-state-of-mind. This kind of music is very popular in clubs (though now-a-days it’s the Rhythm & Blues (R&B) that is played more often).

GOA TRANCE is a type of trance music – it is much ‘heavier’ than the original trance and is closer to psychedelic trance. (yes, drugs are usually consumed at psychedelic parties; NO, I haven’t done drugs EVER)… Goa trance became very popular in late 1900s and early 2000s. It sounds awesome when played at beach parties as it is too heavy to play in clubs… (in my opinion). It has a very hypnotic and energising feel to it. To get an original Goa Trance album is not easy… I picked up a couple of trance CD’s from the flea market in Goa coz the ones available in cities didn’t sound original… (ya, Anjuna flea market in goa sells original trance music).

So next time you visit India and are looking to party… do visit the Goan beaches n have a rockin time…. And if you need more info on goa, you know whom to contact… :p
