Along with 7 others, I went to watch this movie with no expectations because I knew there wouldn’t be a story just like the 1st Dhoom made. What I did expect though, was interesting action and good dancing by Hrithik Roshan. Sure enough, I wasn’t let down. The action sequences were mind-blowing; from the time Aryan (Hrithik) jumps off the helicopter and lands on the moving train in the middle of the desert, we knew we were in for an entertaining Sunday.
Clichéd as it may sound, Hrithik dances like a dream with his Greek-God looks. His 15 get-ups in the movie are awesome – the best being the white statue… my personal favourite is the basket-ball game get-up with the wet look (wink). Dancing is definitely better than any of his previous movies. Aishwarya Rai as Sunehri looks stunning but her acting skills still have room for improvement. She has done well in the song ‘Crazy kiya re’.
Abhishek Bachchan does not have much scope when compared to Hrithik, but he does a fine job as the DCP. Uday chopra is quite funny with his English diction and his paring with Bipasha Basu (who does a double role) is also entertaining.
Though there is no story, the movie is all about Hrithik and his action sequences… in my opinion entertainment goes beyond story-telling…
A must see as we are not too far from Hollywood…!
